Tetra S. Shockley, Esquire is Mrs. Delaware America 2016. She was awarded the title on April 30, 2016 in Middletown, DE touting the platform "Preventing Child Abuse."

Tetra received her undergraduate degree from Delaware State University, majoring in both Business Management and Business Marketing.  In 2009, she graduated from Wesley College with an MBA in Executive Leadership. Achieving her childhood dream, Tetra was awarded her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 2012. Licensed in both Delaware and New Jersey, Tetra has chosen a career as a Deputy Attorney General for the Delaware Department of Justice. There, she represents the Division of Family Services in child abuse and neglect cases. 

Tetra's greatest accomplishment is what she lovingly calls "All Things Shockley," her husband of 11 years, Jerome Shockley and their children, Tierra (9) and Jaden (5). With her family, she enjoys vacations, the beach, movie nights, and cuddles.

Tetra is a proponent of community service. She graciously serves on the Prayer Ministry at The Family Church in Cherry Hill, NJ, is a member of the Board of Directors for Prevent Child Abuse Delaware, speaks at schools across the state, and leads a monthly women's empowerment group.

In her spare time, Tetra enjoys fitness, shopping, roller skating, amusement parks, and "girl time."
